About

Welcome to Snug Apartment.

I'm Athan, and Snug Apartment is the small-space decor blog I wish existed when I moved into my first 500-square-foot apartment with strict no-drill, no-paint rules and a security deposit I really didn't want to lose.

What this site is about

Snug Apartment is a hub for renters and small-space dwellers who want a beautiful home without renovating, drilling holes, or breaking the bank. Every post here is built around three ideas:

  • Renter-friendly first. No-damage decor, removable wallpaper, peel-and-stick tile, command-strip hacks — anything that won't cost you your deposit.
  • Small-space-smart. Studio apartments, 1-bedrooms, awkward layouts, no closets, low ceilings, dark rooms — we cover the real problems renters face.
  • Budget-aware. Most ideas come in under $100. Many under $50. We point you toward affordable IKEA, Amazon, Target, and thrift finds — not designer pieces.

Why I started this

I've lived in five small apartments over the past decade. Every one came with a different set of restrictions, layout problems, and design challenges. I learned the hard way that most "small apartment" content online is written for people who own their place, can paint, and have unlimited budgets.

Renters need different advice — and that's what you'll find here.

How content is created

Every post on Snug Apartment is researched, edited, and fact-checked by a real human (me). I use AI tools to assist with research and drafting, but every recommendation is reviewed and verified before publishing. I personally test products when possible and clearly disclose affiliate relationships.
